OK, here they come, the first World Printmakers Digital Image Downloads. They have been a long time coming due to an internal debate among WP artists as to their utility, their advisability and, ultimately, their legitimacy. We wanted to be able to offer a small gift to our readers, something that we could deliver over the Web. The obvious thing was copies of our artists' prints. We do not pretend they are art prints; in fact they're more like postcards than original works of art. But we think you might be amused by them. Obviously, the better the printer and paper you print them on, the better will be the results. So here you have the images of the first two World Printmakers artists, Richard Stauffacher and Martha Jane Bradford. Download and enjoy!

This is a digital reproduction in .jpg format of Richard Stauffacher's "Splashing Waters," a hand-colored intaglio etching.

To download it, first click on the adjoining image to access an enlargement, then rightclick on the enlargement and save it to a file.

From there you can print it whenever you like.

This is Martha Jane Bradford's "Belltower." Though it might be mistaken for a photograph, it is in reality a digital image which has been entirely drawn in the computer, a digital trompe l'oeil, if you will.

The procedure for downloading it is the same as above. First click on it to go to the enlargement, then rightclick the enlargement and save it to a file. From there it can be printed at your leisure.
