Biographical Notes

The Printmaker Who Understands Screens

I was born and raised in New York City, served in the Coast Guard in WW II, studied at the Art Students League with Reginald Marsh and at the Pratt Graphic Center with Andrew Stasik. I have been a full-time artist for the last fifty years, with many exhibits in NYC and other parts of the USA. My work is in many collections in this country and throughout the world. I look at the world with compassion and wit, and translate the images into oil paintings, watercolors and prints. Over the years I have developed my own styles of rendering and interpretation and continue to do so to this day. This has earned me the label an "American Original."
