"Oh! Humanity"

Rosey & Barbara Rosenthal, U.S.A.

"Bush is a powerful nut case. We didn't vote for him and it is an embarrassment to me that he got close enough to being elected to steal it from Gore. We've written and now are calling our reps to let them know to vote no on this authorization to unilaterally attack Iraq."

"1163"

Don Becktel , U.S.A.

"I love my country but I fear its government. As a United States citizen, I am angry, I am appalled, and I am embarrassed that this administration presumes to represent my sentiments and feelings about the killing of other human beings. It is not a question of premption or potential anything, it is a matter of right or wrong."

'The best way of avenging yourself is not to become like the wrongdoer.' Marcus Aurelius.

"I WOULD LIKE TO BE PART OF THIS PRINTMAKERS' EXHIBITION AS A WAY OF PROTEST AGAINST THE SUGGESTION OF WAR AS THE ONLY SOLUTION TO THE CONFRONTATION BETWEEN COUNTRIES.
THE NAME AND COLOUR OF THIS PRINT SUGGESTS A WORLD OF FANTASY WHICH SHOULD NOT BE DESTROYED."

John Armstrong, Australia

"Good on you for doing this - image attached. No accompanying text."

"We work in the same space."

"Blood for Oil"

Lawrence Finn, Australia

"The U.S. has a bill of rights and a constitution, this protects Americans
from the worst excesses of their own government. If you read Thomas
Jefferson you realize quickly that all governments, even those founded on the most noble causes, tend toward corruption and excess. They built protection for all citizens into these documents as best they could.

The U.S. does not provide a bill of rights for people outside of their boundaries and sadly, unfettered the American Government has inflicted itself upon the world often in the worst possible ways. From the overthrow and destabilisation of governments (S. America, Australia, Asia, Russia) to the arming of petty tyrants like Hussein with atomic, chemical and biological weapons or the genocide of entire populations (The American genocide of the Moro People in the Philippines was the largest mass slaughter of innocents until Hitler came to power). Most Americans would violently disagree with their own foreign policy if the truth were common knowledge. The United States does not have the right to be the world's policeman unasked, however Americans do have the responsibility to be the world's conscience."

Colleen Corradi, Italy

"The Great War was supposed to be the 'war to end all wars'. But an estimated ten million lives were lost. WWII should have been set as a devastating example which should never be waged again, and yet politicians and leaders don't seem to conserve what has been gained with suffering. There are lessons to be learnt from the experiences of other countries which have suffered prolonged onslaughts, attacks and acts of terrorism. But why don't we learn?
Man has always sought for power, and empowerment implies domination."
