The Homeobox print that I generated for this portfolio deals with both process and content. In the following I will briefly discuss the making of the print then the content behind the print. All type was generated in Adobe Illustrator and the small locust image was manipulated in Adobe Photoshop. All the type and the small locust were printed from a laser printer onto transparency film. These films printed with photo screen-printing process.

In terms of content, this image relates to how science and nature are seemingly at different ends of a spectrum, yet issues of how one reality relates to another are being considered at different levels. The first relates to what is currently happening in the exploration of DNA. Another is the seemingly different environment in which nature and technology find themselves merging and diverging. I have found that others, as they view my prints, project their own interpretations and feelings as they formulate meaning. I hope the visual qualities of my prints causes the viewer to return to discover new meanings.
