![]() "Nightling," lithography |
|
"Nightling" was developed completely on the computer before printing it from photo-lithographic plates. The top section was "drawn" with the mouse. The bottom section was derived from a photgraph of a forest and manipulated using Adobe PhotoShop. I was thinking about an electrical storm at night. |

| Brief Biography |
In 1984 Robert Lazuka began teaching printmaking and drawing at Ohio University, bringing with him professional art training as well as years of experience as a landscape architect and a Rock & Blues musician. He studied painting at the Art Institute of Chicago, practiced and taught photography while stationed in Viet Nam, and studied printmaking at Arizona State University where he received his Master of Fine Arts degree. In his spare time, if he ever has any, you'll usually find him on the baseball diamond or the golf course --studying the esthetics of the swing and the ball in flight, of course. Robert has been involved with the College Board's Advanced Placement Program since 1988, serving as Chief Faculty Consultant in Studio Art from 1996-2000. His works have been selected for permanent collection in the Whitney Museum of Art, New York, NY; the Smithsonian National Museum of American Art, Washington, DC; Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City, MO; Clemson University, Clemson, SC; and the Baseball Hall of Fame Museum, Cooperstown, NY. |
