Ellen Chapman

Artist's Statement
Two of the works in this exhibit deal relatively obviously with transparency - seeing through an object to something beyond that enhances the main image. I hope the other three works impart a similar but not so obvious element of transparency. Life is a layered business that is not often transparent; creating and seeing art provide opportunities to find some of the layers.
