Aloha,
I live in Honolulu on the top floor of a high rise a couple blocks from a beautiful
little fishing boat anchorage, Kewalo Basin. The ocean view is, of course, glorious,
but more spectacular is each day’s the ever-changing panorama at sunset.
In each sunset, there is a new discovery of light and shade, color and hue,
shape and movement. Sunset is a time for florescence of the soul, soaring of
the spirit, and open reveling in the beauty of the natural world. These six
images are how I imagine Joan Miro, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Pierre-Auguste
Renoir, Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, and Claude Monet would have captured
Hawaii’s sunsets if they were digital artists sitting on my lanai (balcony)
