You've
Got Trouble Enough Already !
Whether you're an individual printmaker, a university art department,
or a printmaking collective, putting together a gallery show or a stand
at a fair is trouble enough. You not only have to produce the work, but
you've got to get it photographed and framed, get the invitations designed,
printed and sent out. You've got to attend the press and see that the
work is properly hung. It's not precisely the ideal time to be thinking
about creating a website or even expanding an existing one!
Even so,
after all the work you've put into your show, it's a shame not to present
it on the World Wide Web where it can be seen by fine-art print
lovers and buyers from all over world, beginning with your own hometown.
It would also be great to put your show online beforehand, so it could
work as advance publicity for your gallery exhibit or art-fair presence.
Who
Has the Time For Such Niceties?
We do! World Printmakers not only has the time. We also
have the expertise to put your online show together, as well as the audience
you need, a public made up of fine-print enthusiasts, educators, editors
and museum curators from around the world. And, with 100,000-200,000 hits
monthly, the World Printmakers diffusion is
the best in the printmaking business.!
How
Easy Can It Be?
Let's see just how easy we can make it for you. Simply e-mail us the place
and dates of your exhibit and photographs in .jpg format of the prints
you're hanging, along with a brief biog/cv, and we'll create an attractive
online exhibit for you and publish it on a special section (linked from
our homepage, of course!) on the World Wide Web's premier fine-art
print site:World Printmakers. (And when your gallery show
is taken down your virtual show remains active in the World
Printmakers permanent searchable archive, where it can
always be accessed in the future.)
Then you
can add a line to the bottom of your invitations which go out to the press
and the public: "Like to see a preview of the show? Have a look at
the online version at http://www.worldprintmakers.com/shows/****.htm."
Your online exhibit can multiply your attendance figures--between actual
and virtual visitors--many times over. And this added exposure is bound
to have a positive repercussion on your show's bottom line.
What
If It's a Collective?
If it's a collective show that's fine,
too. Actually, the majority of the online exhibits we publish are collectives,
and they invariably look great and function well (see below). One advantage
of the collective is that the cost of the online exhibit can be shared
among all the artists participating
in the show.
What
Would It Look Like?

show might look like on the World Printmakers

What
Does This Service Cost?
A token fee, really, starting from €200 (about $240) for a one-person
show. For this modest amount we'll publish an online exhibit with 20 images
(plus enlargements) of the prints you're hanging in your show, as well
your CV/artist's biography/statement. The service includes information
on the venue, dates, opening hours, etc., as well as coverage of your
show in our monthly newsletter which goes out to some 2,000 destinations
in the art world.
If you have
an upcoming print exhibit, drop
us an e-mail now so as we can start thinking in advance about preparing
and publishing an online version of your show which will permit you to
promote your work better and guarantee the success of your exhibit!
