The print is a 3-color photo litho with six screen runs. The center part of the Photoshop file I used to create the print, was made from an image made in Painter, the SCSI cord was scanned on a flatbed scanner, and the chairs were lifted out of a slide of a painted construction I made a few years ago. This was color separated in Photoshop and made into photo litho plates.

I manipulated the image so that the black separation became minimal and decided not to print the black plate. I added the screen runs to make the background. To get the correct registration, I eliminated the shape of the chairs, the cord and the stripes using Photoshop's select and cut. Everything else was filled to black creating a photo-screen positive. The final two runs are a white flat and a photo screen of the linocut from a previous print.

Lise Drost received a BFA from Florida International University and a MFA in Printmaking from Southern Illinois University. She is an active member of the Florida Printmakers Society, American Print Alliance, and the Southern Graphics Council. Her solo exhibits include Bird in Hand Gallery, Washington DC; University of Dallas, and St. Thomas University, Miami.

Drost's list of group exhibits includes: the University of Hawaii/ Manoa Art Gallery, Society of American Graphic Artists National Juried Competition, and Women Printmakers, arranged by the Print Consortium. Collections include: Art Institute of Chicago, All-State Insurance Company, AT&T, and Miami-Dade Public Library System. She is currently the head of printmaking at the University of Miami.
